I asked the lovely Megan Koester (aka @bornferal on twitter) if she could make a flyer for the next Okay show because if you’re friends with her on facebook you would know she makes amazing comedy show flyers. And I think the above proves it right. I never told her how much I love Ghost World (she was in my room and probably saw the poster) but this is the best thing ever. I love it so much. Follow Megan on twitter she is one of the funniest comedians I know.
Is there someone on here with some photoshop skillz want to help me out? I just want to add some text to this, nothing big. If any of you can do it let me know!

It was late April that I decided to start my own comedy show. I think there was a lot shows going on in LA that I wanted to go to but couldn’t that provoked this. I was at work when I wrote down who I wanted to perform and what I needed to buy. I even sent Jake Weisman and Brandon Vaughn a text that day asking if I started a show would they come and both said yes. From that day until last Saturday is when I worked on making this show happen.
The day of I was a tired, nervous wreck. I did some last minute cleaning and setting up. I wanted the show to start at 830 and everyone to arrive at 8. The problem is the only people at my house at 8 was the comics. For what seemed like forever no one showed up and everyone could I tell I was freaking out. I kept thinking, “oh my god I made all of these people drive an hour out here to just perform in front of me?”. Despite me freaking out everyone else remained calm and all of the comics kept telling me not to worry and that the audience always arrives late to the show. Soon enough people started to show up and I even ran out of chairs.
I took some pictures on my phone but they didn’t come out that great, luckily my friend who also hosted the show took some pictures that I’ll share with you guys as soon as I get them. I did take those polaroids though.
The whole show went wonderful and everyone had a great set. I was happy that this all worked out and I already have my lineup ready for the next one.
last night was so fucking great. I’ll write a longer post later tomorrow or tuesday about everything but I just wanted to post about my favorite thing to happen last night. Some of us were in the kitchen showing pictures of each other’s pets on our phones and then eric dadourian says, “I have a picture of jake (weisman) as a child” and he shows us the pic and megan koester said, “I thought you were going to show us a picture of a cat” and I laughed so hard hahahaha
Tonight is the night for the comedy show in my very own backyard. I’m so nervous that no one or too many people will show up. I’ve spent so much money and hours getting this together plus I don’t want all of my friends to drive an hour down here and perform in front of no one. My excitement overrides my nerves though and I’m just happy that this is finally happening and I get to see all of my friends perform. I also might live tweet the whole thing using #okayshow hashtag on twitter if you guys want to check that out.

I got a kitty and I’m starting a comedy show in my very own back yard and I’m working full time and I’ve been neglecting this blog and I’m sorry okay guys

my friend mikey mckernan is hosting it and he’s funny and nice and was the first person to book me on a show yeaah
I still don’t know how I got such an amazing line up I’m happy and proud and excited and nervous and that’s also why I’m not performing cause I’m going to be too frantic making sure everyone is okay
